Dowsing
Dowsing is a relatively easy way of getting knowledge from divine forces. The divine forces have access to knowledge that is often difficult to obtain through other means. Dowsing is typically done with a pendulum, but dowsing rods may also be used. The pendulum is moved by divine forces in answer to questions that have either a “Yes” or a “No” as an answer.
The signals for “Yes” and “No” may vary, but they are obvious to the person asking the questions. In my case, the signal for “Yes” is when the pendulum swings to and away from my body, towards my chest and away from it, in a continuous back and forth motion. The signal for “No” for me is when the pendulum swings from left to right and back again, in a continuous motion. There is also a resting position, which is used by the divine forces while waiting for a question. In my case, the resting position is also the same as the “No”.
Dowsing is very useful to determine which of the tools and remedies on this website are helpful or harmful to you. The amazing thing about this is that you don’t actually need to have the tool or remedy in your possession to ask questions about its suitability for you. This is because the divine forces can find out for you from a distance the answer to your question about a tool or remedy. This can save a huge amount of time and money, and also spare you the suffering of making harmful choices that would have been made using the trial and error method of gaining knowledge.
There are four very important things that I have learned about dowsing:
- When asking a question during dowsing, always ask God the question. This ensures that only God will be providing the answer (with the exception of your own influence, as described in the point below). If you are not directing the question towards any force in particular, then there is a chance that lower forces rather than the higher and wiser forces will influence the answer. With this in mind, God is the most truthful source of information since God is the wisest power in the universe. Also, you may find that asking God questions really is a great amount of fun, and it will deepen your relationship with Him if you approach God as the Divine Friend that He is.
- When asking a question and while waiting for the answer, still the mind and calm the emotions. It is very easy to influence the dowsing results in a way that produces false answers if you have an emotional charge or an investment in the answer to the question. Try to stay calm and detached while you wait for an answer.
- Asking questions that have time elements does not work well most of the time with dowsing. I strongly believe that God generally does not like being used as an oracle for prophecy, and that may be the most important reason why questions with time elements do not work well with dowsing. It seems that God wants us to trust more and worry less about the future. Finally, due to the free will God has given us, even God often cannot predict events in the future with 100% accuracy. Due to very unusual circumstances, God once allowed me to have information on future events. It was extremely important for me to know about these events in advance, as without the foreknowledge of them I would not have handled them properly. But this knowledge of future events caused me a great amount of stress due to the nature of the future events. Because of this experience, it is clear to me why God generally does not want us to know too much about the future.
- Sometimes, God will not answer your question. In this case, the pendulum will not move away from the resting position. There are a few possible reasons for this:
- Sometimes, God wants you to use your own mind and heart to make a decision without His help. God gave us a mind to be used intelligently, and God wants us to use that intelligence rather than always depending upon Him.
- The question is not helpful. For example, asking questions about truisms will often result in a non-answer since they are obviously true to start with and don’t require dowsing to determine if they are true or false. This is a special case of the point above.
- Often, if you ask the same question too many times, God does not answer because the answer is always the same, and God wants you to have faith that the answer you received before was true.
- Sometimes, you need more information before the question being asked is meaningful. This may mean asking another question first.
The basic concepts of dowsing are easy to understand, but there are some dangers involved. Susan Shumsky’s book, How to Hear the Voice of God, is a thorough guide to obtaining guidance from divine sources and avoiding the dangers involved in doing so. I strongly recommend that you read this book in order to gain a thorough understanding of how to safely communicate with divine forces.
A good quality pendulum makes dowsing enjoyable. My favorite pendulum is the diamond pendulum. There are other excellent pendulums that are less expensive, such as the Maurey style pendulum sold by Joey Korn.
